Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed for remote Canadian work sites. The units are available in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1,200 kW capacities at 600V, and they will be available exclusively to Canadian contractors.
The company says the generators incorporate its latest technologies to provide reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications. They are configured to meet Canadian market needs and regulatory requirements, and all three models are CSA and UN31A compliant with the country's electrical and fuel regulations.
Onboard 600V output
The 1,200 kW model features onboard 600V capability, which Aggreko says eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers. According to the company, direct 600V output reduces project complexity, enhances cost-efficiency and minimizes potential points of failure. The unit is intended for large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.
Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market to Aggreko. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast, remote territories, along with construction and data-centre sectors, as evidence of demand for powerful, precisely configured energy solutions.
Deployment and fleet
The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units that can be readily deployed for immediate energy needs, according to Aggreko. The 1,200 kW model is positioned for large industrial loads. The additions expand Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which offers solutions from 25 kW to 1,200 kW.
Through its Canadian service centres, Aggreko's energy experts will work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power. The company says all three generators provide fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements.
The new models are also presented as well-suited to Canada's expanding data-centre industry. As provincial regulators look to limit how much power data-centre operators pull from the grid, Aggreko says its Tier 4 Final generators can provide the off-grid energy needed to keep facilities operational with minimal disruption to communities.
Aggreko's Canadian lineup is intended to support temporary power across a range of applications and site conditions. The company says the generators pair its current technology with hardware configured for Canadian operating requirements, giving contractors an additional option for remote and industrial projects.
