Mace Construct will rebrand as Forco in the new year, the UK contractor has said, describing the new name as short, impactful and easy to pronounce.
The change follows the March separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two businesses. Under that agreement, Mace Consult retains the Mace brand. Mace Construct will keep trading under its existing name until the new year before adopting Forco.
The company said the Forco launch would coincide with a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running to 2030. Executive Chair Mark Reynolds said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He presented the new name as a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.
Reynolds also sought to reassure clients that the rebrand would not change the company’s culture, values or people. He said clients could expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create lasting places and infrastructure.
The name change will give the contractor a distinct identity after the separation, while linking its public brand to longer-term strategy and productivity goals. Specific measures behind those targets were not set out in the announcement.
